1. Agreement to Terms
By accessing or using Kenosis ("the App", "the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you disagree with any part of the terms, you may not access the Service.

2. IMPORTANT — Not Professional Advice (Medical, Psychological, and Pastoral Disclaimer)
Kenosis is an AI-powered spiritual support and discipleship application. The features, including insights, devotionals, and conversational responses generated by Artificial Intelligence, are intended for spiritual encouragement, biblical reflection, and informational purposes only.

Kenosis is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, psychological treatment, psychiatric diagnosis, clinical therapy, or licensed pastoral counseling. The "Heal" feature is designed for spiritual support and prayerful reflection, not as a mental-health intervention.

If you are experiencing a mental health crisis, thoughts of self-harm, or a psychiatric emergency, please contact your local emergency services, a crisis hotline (such as 988 in the United States), or a qualified healthcare professional immediately. By using Kenosis, you acknowledge that the App does not establish any professional–client relationship between you and Kenosis or its AI providers.

3. Acceptable Use of AI Features
Kenosis uses text-based AI only. We do not provide image generation, voice cloning, deepfake, or synthetic media features. You agree not to misuse the AI features, including attempting to extract harmful, illegal, or sexually explicit content. We reserve the right to suspend accounts that violate these rules.

4. User-Generated Content
You are entirely responsible for the content of your journal entries, habits, and profile. While your data is private, if you utilize sharing features or public community features (if available), you agree not to post content that is illegal, abusive, hateful, or explicitly harmful. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate this rule.

5. Subscriptions, Pricing, and Payments
Kenosis offers a free "Seeker" plan and a premium "Disciple" plan. Pricing for the Disciple plan varies by region (Purchasing Power Parity) and is clearly displayed on the Pricing page at the time of purchase. Payments are processed by our Merchant of Record (Paddle or an alternative MoR), which acts as the seller of record for tax and legal purposes.

Subscriptions automatically renew until canceled. You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings, and you will retain access until the end of the current billing period. Unless required by local law or our Refund Policy, fees for the current billing period are non-refundable.

6. Third-Party Services
The App integrates with third-party services including Supabase (data storage and authentication) and Google Vertex AI / Gemini (AI generation). We are not responsible for the practices or availability of these third-party services.

7. Limitation of Liability
The Kenosis App and its AI-generated responses are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Kenosis and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

8. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify users of material changes via the App or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
